MAKAY NORTH
DAY 1 ANTANANARIVO – ANTSIRABE
Route to Antsirabe around 4 hours for drive passing thought Ambatolampy the capital city ofmetal transformation where we taking us lunch. Continue us road into Antsirabe for some of visit of the city and their monument, handcraft. … essence oil. The fragrance of all Madagascar can be seenand you can also buy some souvenir. Diner and overnight hotel.
DAY 2 ANTSIRABE – BETAFO – MIANDRIVAZO
Morning drive to reach the village Ampanefy to discover the region volcanic of Madagascar. andtheirdaily life on the terrasse growing technic famous like a first producers of vegetable to the capitalcity.
DAY 3 MIANDRIVAZO – MALAIMBANDY – ATSAKOAZATO
After breakfast, leave Miandrivazo and drive to Malaimbandy for about 3 hours. Upon arrival, you could have a short visit of this small village while we do some shopping before continuing to drive on off-road for about 3hours until Antsakoazato at the edge of Sakapaly river. Then, drive until the place where we meet the porters. Leave the car then starting to walk until the campsite. Overnight on camping. CAMPING
DAY 4 ATSAKOAZATO – BEROHA
Day to walk until the bottom of the massif of Makay untilAnkaramenawherewe can see a natural pool surrounded by luxuriant vegetation and high cliff. We will walk through sand, river, forest, … also we will see many various nice landscape. Upon arrival, lunch then afternoon at leisure to enjoy the natural pool. Overnight on camping. CAMPING
DAY 5 BEROA – AKARAMENA
Day to discover the best part of Makay through the streams, primary forest where we can see lemurs, birds, … After walking about one hour, wereach the beginning of canyon then continuing through hills filled of pebbles to reach the main source of the river Sakapaly. The landscap will change in every 100 meters. Installation on arrival at the campsite. Overnight on camping. CAMPING
DAY 6 AKARAMENA – SAKAPALY
After breakfast, we will walk through the central canyon of Sakapaly to cross until our campsite which is only around 3km. The whole morning will be spent in this beautiful canyon by walking slowly. Installation at the campsite on arrival, lunch then afternoon at leisure. Overnight on camping.CAMPING
DAY 7 SAKAPALY – SAKAPALY
Full day to inside of the canyon of Sakapaly after 100m we are in the canyon, make a walk for medium loop passing though the dark tunnel narrow around 10m long then continue, after the various colors of the cliff they change about 100m. we joined a dry river about 1 hours open area. The landscape are various we pass the dry sand, river, plateau, canyon, … back to us campsite for overnight CAMPING
DAY 8 SAKAPALY – AKARAMENA
After breakfast we follow the river then dry sand , forest , … may we see some animals , insects, lemurs, snakes …on the way. The walk is around 65% in side. afternoon at leisure and profit the river. Diner and overnight Camping. CAMPING
DAY 9 AKARAMENA – BEROA
We leave Akaramena and go us close as possible to the car to make us last campsite close on the river and sand bank dry. We pass us last night in the Makay with us team porter. Overnight Camping
DAY 10 BEROA – ATSAKOAZATO – MIANDRIVAZO
We walk until the car and farewell the team and then drive for 45km until Malaimbandy and the last tarmac road 115km until Miandrivazo.
DAY 11 MIANDRIVAZO – ANTANANARIVO
Back to Antananarivo around 11 hours for driving passing thought Antsirabe here we take some lunch and Ambatolampy to finish the trip in ANTANANARIVO.
