TSINGY OF BEMARAHA

How to Get There?
Most people travel by land from Antananarivo to Antsirabe (RN 7), and then from Antsirabe to Miandrivazo (RN 36). The journey offers a stunning landscape that changes every 100 kilometers.
Miandrivazo
Miandrivazo is the second hottest town in Madagascar and hosts the second-largest zebu market in the country, after Ambalavao in the south. It is also known for its rice paddies and bean fields, benefiting from the irrigation provided by the Tsiribihina River. This river not only supports agriculture but is also rich in fish and serves as a refuge for freshwater crocodiles and turtles. Birds and other wildlife are also present in the area. You can cross the river on a 3- to 4-day trip through the Menabe region and visit fishing villages along the way, reaching Belo sur Tsiribihina by traditional canoe or boat. Camping overnight is part of the experience.
Tsiribihina the name means we can cross the river, according the past they was infested by crocodile. Tsiribihina is one of the slow largest river in Madagascar country. the western coast produce more fish and dry fish from the river (mahajilo, tsiribihina, manambolo,…) and the sea. MANAMBOLO
The name « Manambolo » has two meanings related to its reddish color. The first part, « mana, » means « to have, » while « manambi » means « to bless » or « to have a chance, » and « olo » refers to people or human beings. The river originates from the highlands of Bongolava, which stretch from the north to the south of Madagascar, covering a distance of 1,000 kilometers. It eventually flows into a canyon, creating an extraordinary landscape reminiscent of western movie scenery.

How to getting there:
1st option BAOBAB IMERTION
From Morondava until Bekopaka (tsingy of Bemaraha) around 8 hours drive cross the two principal river the first one is Tsiribihina and the second one in Manambolo. Lunch time are probably in Belo to town after crossing Tsiribihina. The road are unmade road passing though the Baobab avenue, Kirindy forest and grassland; sometimes border by field and plantation.

TSINGY OF BEMARAHA

After the river we drive to the entrance of the parc passing thought Bekopaka village. 17km lon unmade road until the entrance. The duration of the hike are around 5 hours passing on the labyrinth into the cave until the view point. Passing on the suspending bridge. Forest wher we may see lemurs . Full view of nature and take a breath of full fresh air. Difficulty medium hiking. Picnic launch may be used. Don’t forget a sun cream and at list 2liters water per persons.

2nd option MANAMBOLO RIVER TRIP
To the center and down the Manambolo river. From Antananarivo to Tsiroanomandidy 210km in tarmac road 75% in good condition, and then 8hours drive on the unmade road to Ankavandra where the river trip begin after lift the car and walking down for 2 hours to the Akavandra town.

RIVER TRIP
- After checking office in the morning we getting down on the river on the traditional canoe. The landscape are imagine on the wild permutation of the fisherman village.
